Sunday, 12 April 2026 – Gaisberg Summit: Walk & Talk & Roundtables

Sunday marks the joint closing of the symposium and is designed as a professional day at Salzburg’s local mountain, the Gaisberg. Movement, informal exchange, and professional discussion are combined in a “Walk & Talk” format.

Note: Consumption at the mountain inn (food and drinks) is not included in the participation fee and must be paid individually on site.

Meeting point for all groups: Mirabellplatz – bus stop of line 151 (Gaisberg)

Bus Transfer to Gaisberg

  • 09:10 – Public bus line 151 from Mirabellplatz → Gaisberg/Zistelalm (Group 1 – Powerwalk)
  • 09:40 – Public bus line 151 from Mirabellplatz → Gaisberg summit (Group 2 – Walk & Talk)

  • 10:00 – Bus from Mirabellplatz → ÖGfMM charter bus to Gaisberg summit (Groups 2 and 3)

Public buses run every 30 minutes up and down the mountain. A charter bus for 70 people (39 seats) has been arranged by ÖGfMM. It cannot accommodate all participants, so Groups 2 and 3 are asked to use this bus. Further details on meeting points and tickets will be provided on site and via email.

Walk & Talk Groups on Gaisberg

In moderated small groups, movement, networking, and professional exchange are combined to discuss current topics in music, health, research, and artistic practice.

  • Group 1 – Powerwalk & Talk (Mountain ascent)
    Leader: Angela Büche
    Start: Gaisberg/Zistelalm – hike to the summit
    Duration: approx. 90 minutes – shoes: hiking shoes required
  • Group 2 – Walk & Talk (Mountain loop) – 10:00 bus
    Leader: Leonhard Königseder
    Relaxed longer route – duration: approx. 60–90 minutes
    Start: Gaisberg summit
  • Group 3 – Walk & Talk (Short loop) – 10:00 bus
    Leader: Hanna Keßeler
    Moderate pace, focus on exchange during the walk
    Start: Gaisberg summit
    Duration: approx. 30–60 minutes – shoes: sneakers with good grip sufficient
  • Group 4 – View & Exchange (“No Walk”)
    Leader: Michael Peschka
    No hiking – shared stay and exchange at the summit
    Duration: approx. 30 minutes – shoes: comfortable everyday footwear sufficient

12:00 – musical welcome at the mountain inn “Goasn Alm” at the Gaisberg summit (Location: Gaisberg 30, 5026 Salzburg)
from 12:15 – optional shared lunch (individual consumption)

Roundtables on Gaisberg

13:30–15:00 – moderated roundtables on networking, research, and early career development.

From 15:00 – Informal Closing & Return

Return: Public buses of line 151 from Gaisberg summit back to the city of Salzburg (Mirabellplatz / main station) run every 30 minutes.
An additional charter bus departing at 15:20 has been arranged for roundtable participants
